Below are details of the current courses and qualifications promoted by WIDI and are delivered by our three academic institutions involved with WIDI – the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Coleg Sir Gâr (Part of the UWTSD Group) and the University of South Wales.

Health Informatics Qualifications (Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4)
Delivered by Coleg Sir Gâr the online Health Informatics qualifications are for those working in or new to the area of Informatics in the Health and Care Sector and are keen to gain new skills to carry out their job roles as well as preparing them for career progression. In addition, students could potentially move on to study for a Digital Degree Apprenticeship qualification once completing a Health Informatics course.
The Health Informatics course is a fully funded by a Welsh Government initiative for those working within health and care in Wales.

Digital Degree Apprenticeships
Digital Degrees Apprenticeships are Welsh Government funded opportunities to combine your work-based learning with studying a degree part-time at a participating university. Apprentices can achieve a degree, learn professional skills, and gain industry knowledge.
The University of Wales Trinity Saint David offers four, fully funded, part-time Digital Degree Apprenticeship courses at its new IQ Building in the Swansea city’s maritime area. DDA qualifications can be studied in Applied Data and Information Systems, Applied Computer Networks and Cybersecurity, Applied Software Engineering and a new course has just been launched in Cloud Software Development.

Two Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeships are offered by the University of South Wales. The part-time courses spread over 56 months are delivered from the University’s Treforest Campus.
